I could not agree more with your take! The Jehovah’s Witness church is a marketing machine.

I went abroad for Peace Corp and saw JW sponsored affordable housing, met missionaries on a regular basis, (local and foreign), and was constantly handed booklets about them. That’s community building, word-of-mouth, and free content all spinning around the same theme.

I don’t stand by the church’s beliefs, (I’m gay and they’re staunchly homophobic), but I know great marketing when I see it.
