I think our reactions to and emotions about money are so interesting. Some people requests for funds from kids or parents as natural and others see it as a sign of something amiss. The daughter in this situation might be completely self-sufficient, yet those requests for money have come to represent love and time together with her mom. Of course, I realize she could also be terribly spoiled, not ruling that out either. I agree with Christina P. Thorne about the husband spending the equivalent on himself. Great idea!
