My Favorite Reader Comments: August Edition
I had to share these
For the month of August, I decided to try the Blog Your Own Book challenge designed by Shaunta Grimes, a fabulous lady you should definitely check out. She created it in order to help bloggers repurpose content into an easy-to-publish ebook they can put up, (free), on Amazon in the Kindle Singles section. This always appealed to me, so I decided to try writing a personal essay every day that I could then combine into a book.
I knew it would be a challenge, but I had no idea how many great responses I would get! I wanted to take a moment to share some of my favorites with you.
My first piece was 5 Reasons I was a Bad Teacher, a tell-all about my career shift from journalism to teaching abroad in Madagascar, why I did it, and why it was likely a huge mistake. The comments I got were amazing.
Some of them came from people who got into teaching with me, like Sondra, who moved to Madagascar at the same I did, noticed my reflection on how “confident” the other teachers seemed. She wrote:
