This is the first official story of my publication, Writing Education. Here are some of the basics of who we are, what we do, and why.
What sort of stories can I read here?
Writing Education will cover anything about school, teaching, the science of learning, reporting on schools, and anything related to true stories from schools.
Why should I follow you?
Because education shapes culture, beliefs, personalities, and attitudes about the world. While our schools may struggle, there’s no way around our need to learn. If you ever sat through a lecture, wished for more exciting classes, or wondered about how the big decisions about schools get made, this is the publication for you.
Who are your writers?
At the moment, Editor and Education Writer Lindsay Redifer is the sole contributor for this publication, (that’s me). I spent 13 years working in classrooms, but teachers are the majority of my family. I’ve spent the past three years writing about a myriad of topics related to school and now I’m working on a new project — The Dyslexia Book.
